We have 3 pets: Hope (dog), Murdock (fish), and Lenny (guinea pig) AKA Mr. Guinea Pig. Luke also has a snail that he keeps in one of my indoor plants that he swears is still alive. It is so not! So we won't count him. We are now adding to the household with the ducks that visit us each afternoon. They come for bread, crackers or even rice cakes when I'm low on groceries! One adolescent male hung out with us in the yard even when the kids were riding bikes and ride-on toys. The noise and activity didn't phase him! Luke often comments that his pets tell him things and he thinks that he understands the ducks, too. Usually he just tells me that they "told" him that they are hungry. Deep observation, duck whisperer! However, if pigs and goats start showing up in the afternoon to "talk" to Luke, you may see us on the Today show!
